Chris Ward - B.App.Sc. (Physio) M.A.P.A

Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from Latrobe University in 1991. He gained valuable experience at Ararat and District Hospital, and in 1995 returned to Melbourne and began at Hawthorn Physiotherapy. In 2000, he became a partner along with Barry Gavin and Charlie Schall-Riaucour. His particular interest in sports injuries and their treatment led to his role as physiotherapist at Hawthorn Football Club from 1995 to 2004. His experience and skills gained at the elite level of sport have proved invaluable at Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic.

Chris is a long-standing member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Sports Physio Special Interest Group.

Charlie Schall-Riaucour - B.Physio.(Hons) M.A.P.A

Charlie graduated with Honours from Bachelor of Applied Science in 1996. This was in addition to his degree in Physical Education and postgraduate studies in Exercise for Rehabilitation. Charlie worked at the Hawthorn Football Club in 2003/2004 and now divides his time between Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic and Vimy House Private Hospital where he provides physio services for many of Melbourne's leading orthopedic surgeons.

Charlie is a long-standing member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Mark Fotheringham - B.Physio. M.A.P.A

Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2005. He began working at Somerville Private Practice Physiotherapy and moved to the Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic at the start of 2007. Mark has played lots of sports and been involved as a physiotherapist for several local football clubs. Mark has also studied Clinical Pilates through Dance Medicine Australia and provides 1:1 and 1:2 clinical pilates sessions at the clinic, in combination with treating all other types of musculo – skeletal conditions.

Mark is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Richard Webber - B.App.Sc. (Physio) M.A.P.A

Richard graduated with a B.App.Science in Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University (Lincoln Institute) in 1989. He began at Hawthorn Physiotherapy in 1991, before leaving for London in 1995. He worked in private practice in Harley St for the next 10 years, treating an international clientele, and developing a specific focus on difficult spinal pain and post-surgical rehabilitation. On returning to Melbourne in 2007, Richard returned to HPC, to find the best aspects of this clinic still in place. Richard is a member of the APA and UK Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.

Rhiarna Hill - B.Physio.

Rhiarna graduated with honours from B.Physio at Melbourne University in 2006. She has extensive experience as Head Physiotherapist with Premier League and National League Soccer teams, and is a soccer player herself. She has also worked with elite and professional circus performers / athletes, including time at the National Institute of Circus Acts (NICA). Rhiarna divides her time between Vimy Private Hospital, where she specialises in physiotherapy following orthopaedic surgery, and HPC, where she is also qualified via Dance Medicine Australia as a Clinical Pilates Physiotherapist.

Nicole Barnes - B.Physio.

Born and bred in Melbourne, Nicole completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2004. Nicole gained 3 years of valuable experience at the start of her career working in aged care, rehabilitation and also doing some acute hospital work around Melbourne. She then moved to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy working at a clinic in Camberwell where she was in charge of their extensive pilates program. Nicole joined our team in 2009 and divides her time between Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic and Vimy House Private Hospital.

Genevieve Elijah - Office Manager

Genevieve, our Office Manager, has worked at various physiotherapy clinics for the past ten years beginning part-time whilst studying her Education and Arts Degrees and moving into full time as our Office Manager in June 2004. Genevieve is experienced in all areas of physio administration and is supported by a friendly admin team who are available between 8am and 8pm weekdays to help you find an appointment or help you with any account enquiries.
