OUR STAFFChris Ward - B.App.Sc. (Physio) M.A.P.A Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from Latrobe University in 1991. He gained valuable experience at Ararat and District Hospital, and in 1995 returned to Melbourne and began at Hawthorn Physiotherapy. In 2000, he became a partner along with Barry Gavin and Charlie Schall-Riaucour. His particular interest in sports injuries and their treatment led to his role as physiotherapist at Hawthorn Football Club from 1995 to 2004. His experience and skills gained at the elite level of sport have proved invaluable at Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic. Chris is a long-standing member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Sports Physio Special Interest Group. Charlie Schall-Riaucour - B.Phys.(Hons) M.A.P.A Charlie graduated with Honours from Bachelor of Applied Science in 1996. This was in addition to his degree in Physical Education and postgraduate studies in Exercise for Rehabilitation. Charlie worked at the Hawthorn Football Club in 2003/2004 and now divides his time between Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic and Vimy House Private Hospital where he provides physio services for many of Melbourne's leading orthopedic surgeons. Charlie is a long-standing member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Barry Gavin - Dip.Physio. M.A.P.A Barry was his Diploma of Physiotherapy in 1972. Barry opened the Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic in 1974. He has traveled overseas as a physiotherapist and has gained accreditation to practice in the US. His expertise is applied not only at the clinic, but also as an inpatient physio at both Warringal and Vimy House Private Hospitals. His many professional affiliations include the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Australian Sports Medicine Federation. Adrian Quinn - B.Physio M.A.P.A Adrian graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Latrobe University in 2000. Following 2 ½ years as a physiotherapist at Warragul Hospital in Gippsland, Adrian returned to Melbourne to join Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic in 2003. A member of the Australian Physio Association's Sports and Musculoskeletal special interest groups, Adrian enjoys working with local football teams. He is also trained in Clinical Pilates. Andrea Bruder - B.Physio (Hons), B.App.Sc.(H.Mov), M.A.P.A. Andrea completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at Latrobe University in 2004. This was in addition to her Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) at RMIT University. Andrea brought her skills and experience to Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic in 2005. She is the physio for St.Kevins Old Boys and has been involved with football teams for the last seven years. She also works closely with the orthopaedic surgeons at Vimy House Private Hospital and takes Clinical Pilates at Hawthorn, having trained in this practice with Dance Medicine Australia. Craig Mansfield - B.Physio (Hons), M.A.P.A. Craig graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 1996. He accepted a scholarship at the AIS in Canberra to work on the Olympic Athlete Screening Project for a year. In 1997 he returned to Melbourne and joined the Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic where he stayed until traveling to London in 2002. In November 2005, Craig returned to Hawthorn Physiotherapy Clinic and commenced his Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy at Melbourne University on a part-time basis. His special interest is in shoulder, knee and pelvic injuries, and also tendon injuries. He has played volleyball for Victoria and continues to play with the Heidelberg Volleyball Club. Genevieve Barton - Office Manager Genevieve, our Office Manager, has worked at various physiotherapy clinics for the past ten years beginning part-time whilst studying her Education and Arts Degrees and moving into full time as our Office Manager in June 2004. Genevieve is experienced in all areas of physio administration and is supported by a friendly admin team who are available between 8am and 8pm weekdays to help you find an appointment or help you with any account enquiries. |
